"In the middle of nature - forest talk
Skarnes is located in the Sør-Odal region on Norway's longest river: the Glomma. The densely forested mountains around Skarnes and the Glomma define the natural character of the small town. The new “Furubo” residential complex for assisted living aims to create a safe and pleasant living atmosphere for its residents. To this end, the sculpture project “In the Middle of Nature - Forest Conversations” deals with the forces of nature. A large Larvikite plate impresses with its blue crystalline surface and is reminiscent of water. A watercourse symbolizes the nearby Glomma River and animal tracks symbolize the hustle and bustle of nature. Animal tracks from the forest invisibly show the inhabitants of the forest and their existence. Peaceful and in harmony with people. Especially the fox, the elk, the beaver, a puma, an eagle, ducks and a capercaillie. The animals can be encountered on a large wooden terrace next to the sculpture and a connection to the surroundings can be established.
